Resisting Information Disorder in the Global South is a multi-country research project seeks to identify the underlying drivers of information disorders, map effective response strategies, and critically evaluate their efficacy. The research adopts a thematic approach with its primary goal being the formulation of a comprehensive theory of change (ToC) as a foundational framework for shaping future policies and governance interventions. The project embraces empirical research, and shifts from merely describing ‘what’ questions to probing ‘how’ and ‘should’ questions, which carry the potential to shape policies, regulations, and legislation. DECI is supporting the project in developing the ToC, an evaluation plan, and a communication strategy.
