RIA

Research ICT Africa (RIA) is a regional think tank with a track record in the development of ICT policy and regulatory research capacity to inform effective ICT governance in Africa. RIA is based in Cape Town (South Africa) and hosts a network of organizations that extend across the continent to collaborate and leverage its activities through national, regional and continental partnerships. The network also contributes to the gathering and analysis of data and indicators to establish a repository of knowledge for furthering research and digital governance. RIA developed the After Access Surveys on digital inequality that have been replicated in Asia and Latin America. RIA is also part of IDRC’s Strengthening Cyber Policy Centres in the Global South initiative, through which it receives mentoring from DECI in order to enhance its communication and evaluation capacities.
